Nora 6" remodel housing is a lightweight, airtight unit that is ideal for use in insulated ceilings. Rated for direct contact with insulation and combustive materials, Nora 6" remodel cans install into existing drywall or wood ceilings from below and are compatible with retrofit LED modules and a wide selection of Nora finishing trims. Because IC housings are direct contact rated, no minimum clearance is required. Air tight housings increase energy savings by restricting the transfer of conditioned air to the plenum above the fixture. The housing adjusts from 3/8 inches to 1 3/8 inches to accommodate diverging ceiling thicknesses. The adjustable socket mounting plate allows different types of lamps to be used for the best possible distribution of light. High-tension, tempered steel springs secure the remodel housings evenly to the ceiling, with a hole cutout template provided for added convenience. The junction box is listed for through branch circuit wiring.
