When clearance issues in your ceiling plenum are a concern, whether due to ductwork, wiring, structural members, or other items that are in the way, look no further than this 6-inch Brio LED disc light (also called a wafer light). Unlike other downlights, these do not require any external housing to hold the light. Everything is built into a small, flat 6" disc that is only 1/2" tall (7/8" if you include the springs). The remote driver/junction box is separate from the light, further reducing the amount of space needed. Yet you still get over 900 lumens of high quality warm white light with a CRI rating of over 92.

It doesn't get any more low profile than this. And installation is super simple too! Cut your hole in your existing ceiling, wire up the driver and place it up into the ceiling, then connect it to the Brio disc light and snap it into place.

A round rough-in plate is available for new construction applications.
