The Iolite 2" IC-Rated Airtight LED New Construction Housing is designed to be used in insulated ceilings and can be in direct contact with thermal insulation. Designed for use with 2 inch Iolite series trims, this new construction housing is constructed of aluminum with integral bar hangers. The housing has factory installed gaskets to restrict airflow from the room into the ceiling plenum to under 2 cubic feet per minute in compliance with ASTM-283 Air-Tight requirements. With either dedicated 120V or universal 120V-277V input acceptance, this housing is UL listed for wet location use, and comes with two 13.75" to 24.5" adjustable bar hangers with captive nails included on the frame. The bar hangers are parallel to the junction box, but can also be repositioned 90 degrees perpendicular to the junction box.

This housing is compatible with forward phase Triac dimmers, ELV dimmers, and 0-10V dimming systems, depending on voltage chosen. Dedicated 120V housing is compatible with forward phase and ELV dimming. Universal 120/277V housing operating at 120V is compatible with forward phase, ELV, and 0-10V dimming, while at 277V it is compatible only with 0-10V dimmers.
